Cyanotype Workshop at Two Trees Tea House
Sonoma County Sketchbook Club is excited to kick off summer with a Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop at Two Trees Tea House in Occidental . Come make beautiful monotype prints with us and learn about cyanotype chemistry. Using botanicals, images on transparencies, tea leaves, glassware and other cool objects that bend and block light we will print using the POWER OF THE SUN!!
Two Trees Tea House will be providing congee and flowing cups of tea throughout the workshop.
Participants will walk away with 5 unique prints on high quality cotton rag paper.
Beginner friendly and all materials are included!!
ABOUT THE PAYMENT TIERS!! PLEASE READ!
We are offering this workshop at sliding scale. Read below about the payment tiers and please pick the one appropriate for you.
Tier 1: $100
If it’s a struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, child care etc and/or you live paycheck to paycheck/are in significant debt, this option is for you. You deserve a community that honours your price as an equal economic offering as the person who can pay the highest tier.
Tier 2: $175
If you are struggling to conquer debt or build savings or move away from paycheck to paycheck living but have access to steady income and don’t spend most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs, this is your range.
Tier 3: $250
If you are financially secure, you would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services. If you are able to afford "wants" and spend little time worrying about securing necessities in your life, you have economic privilege and power in our community. Your extra contribution helps cover the cost of those in the lower tier.

Two Trees Tea House is located at the far end of the main street Occidental in a bright teal building. There are no stairs but there is an incline for about 3’ at about a 4% grade up to the front door. The bathroom is a one room facility located on the side of the tea house down a short outdoor walkway along the side of the building.
